Saratoga Storm Wins Rotterdam 12th Annual Kickoff Classic U14A Division What a great day for the Saratoga Storm U13 girl’s team. The weather was beautiful and so was the field play. The round robin format put the team in second place behind a hard charging U14A Rotterdam team, a team they lost 3-0 to earlier in the day. After a break for the shootout, where Goalie Amanda Gnau and Mid Fielder Katie Powers each took first place, the Storm was pumped up and ready. The team came out on fire and put the pressure on Rotterdam keeping the ball on their side for most of the game. Finally, with 9 min to go, Heather Marko chipped a loose ball to the back of the net. Rotterdam restarted and pressured the defense to no avail, the game ended with Saratoga on top 1-0.
